What makes the Hogwarts student uniform so special?

All students at Hogwarts are required to wear their student uniform when attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A student uniform not only represents their school, but also which Hogwarts house they belong to: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin.

Gryffindor students are recognizable by the touch of scarlet and gold on their uniform, and are often seen wearing a crest with the lion on it. Hufflepuff house colors are yellow and black, with a badger on their crest. Ravenclaw students don blue and bronze colors on their uniform and Slytherin students wear green and silver as their house colors.

Perhaps the most iconic piece of the uniform is the student robe. Long, elegant and personalised according to each house colors, the robe is a must have for any students. Made in quality fabric, each house crest is well displayed on the chest area and a pocket is included inside to keep a wand always near you. 

When the weather gets slightly chilly, Hogwarts students wear a grey V-neck sweater under the robe. The house crest is embroidered to proudly showcase which house the student belongs to. Made in soft-touch knit, the neckline also includes the colors of each house.

A main piece that cannot be forgotten is the necktie. The necktie is simply worn over a plain white button up shirt, and depending on the season the uniform would also include a sweater. Whether you prefer wearing it a little loose as often seen on Ron Weasley, perfectly tied as Hermione Granger prefers to wear it, or with the addition of a snake badge as Draco Malfoy, there are so many ways to wear your tie!

During the colder months of the year, students can accessorize their uniform with a pair of warm gloves, a scarf and a beanie in the colors of the house they belong to. Whether you are a Witch, a Wizard or a Muggle, you will be well protected from the cold with these extra layers on!

To complete the Hogwarts student uniform, put on some house socks so that you can fully represent your house from head to toes. Adding some black trousers or skirt and some black shoes, you are now completely dressed as a Hogwarts student. All is left is to prepare your wand and proudly walk down the hall as if you truly were at Hogwarts!
